Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from Dr. Parker and Brecken the Lion!  Both girls went to bed with a HIGH sugar level tonight!  I think Brecken had 4 or 5 cookies, and Parker had a smores on top of that!  YIKES!!

We celebrated with friends at the Annual Davis Halloween Party.  It's always fun to get together with friends and watch the kiddos play and enjoy the costumes.

Parker, Daddy and Brecken right before trick or treating!

Parker decided she wanted to be a Doctor for Halloween and be just like "Dr. Jeff"  She said she wants to work with him someday in his office!  We'll see!

Parker was so excited about getting to dress up today, that she wanted to wear her costume to Church...I told her "that wouldn't be appropriate!"

My mom had this Lion costume at her house for the kids to play with and it's always Brecken's "go to" outfit at her house.  We decided that this would be a perfect costume for her this year!  She LOVES being the Lion and does the roar pretty well!

We had a great time, and the weather couldn't have been more perfect!  It was a beautiful fall day!  I've sorted thru the candy and it's back to a regular day tomorrow!

Happy Birthday Brecken

I can't believe three years ago today, we were headed up to the hospital to have you!  You are such a sweet little girl with a beautiful smile to flash always!  You love to antagonize your sister, but you adore Parker, and pretty much do what ever she wants to do.  If you don't like something you let us know.  It is rare for you to be upset, but when you are, you are!  You LOVE to sing songs, going to school, dressing up, being outside, riding your bike, and being girly all at the same time!

You love being a big girl and tell us often that "I NOT the baby anymore" even though you will be my baby forever!

Happy Birthday!

P.S. As I'm writing this, you came out of your room down the stairs to tell us you're turning three!!  Your daddy just responded telling you that you can't turn three tomorrow if you don't go to bed!  Too Cute!~

We Love You!

My Baby Turns Three

We had a full weekend this past weekend with lots of family in town to help celebrate Brecken's third birthday.  My baby isn't a baby anymore, and Brecken let's me know it all the time now!  She walks around saying " I NOT the baby anymore, I a big girl".  I keep telling her she'll always be my baby, but that just bothers her!

The weekend fun started off with Parker's last soccer game in which she scored the one and only goal for the game!  It was fun to have a full family showing to witness it!  She was SO PROUD of herself, and told us so several times thru out the weekend!  We were pretty proud too!

Brecken was the highlight for the rest of the weekend with her birthday!  We bought her a new bed several weeks ago, but just arrived from KC on Friday night!  This is her hanging out in it, and she was SO EXCITED to have a big girl bed!  She's been telling everyone for weeks even strangers "I got a new bed" even going as far as to take cousins up to her room to show them, only to dissapoint when the bed wasn't here yet..She was pretty cute about it though, and you could tell her excitement everytime she mentioned it!

Parker & Brecken in her new big girl room!

Brecken enjoying her new swing set from all sets of grandparents and mommy and daddy!  This was a HUGE hit with both girls!  We've already had our first accident on Sunday, with a spraned ankle after letting go of the swings, and going "flying" into the air..She dosen't seem to be to botherd by it though, and is still enjoying it!

Daddy and Papa spent two almost full days putting the swing set together..the girls had a hard time being patient waiting for it to be completed.  They spend every amount of time they can outside on it! I would say this was money well spent!

Brecken's new pony!  She was giving it a kiss, so I had to snap a photo~

Brecken and Grandma "Antsy" (Nancy)  The girls got some alone time with grandpa craig and grandma antsy, and they were looking for bugs I think...

So excited for her cupcakes!

Color

I've known this about myself for a while now, but I was totally laughing at myself this morning.  I don't see color like I used to anymore.  Most of the time it's when I'm seeking out a red shirt, and end up with a pink one, or vice versa.  A few weeks ago, we were looking for new shoes for the girls, and I was asking if Parker liked a certain pair, and Chris looked at me weird, and said "those are purple"..we were looking for black!  I totally didn't believe him, so of course I asked Parker what color they were, and she confirmed to me that they were in fact purple!  Last night, I was putting together a collage for Brecken to take to class.  I was looking for white construction paper to do the project on, but could only find yellow.  I decided on pink instead since she liked that color, and finished up the project while the girls were playing.  I was pretty satisfied with the project, and Brecken was excited to show everyone at school the next day...Well this morning, when we got out of the car, in the daylight, I realized that the project was in fact on orange construction paper...Oh my, I've got issues!  I just totally laughed at myself..I so cannot see color the way I used to!

So while I was working on said project above, the girls were very busy...this is what I came into when I was all done!

All of the pillows from the entire house, including the basement, and upstairs were on the floor covered by blankets.  The bench was the jumping board, to which they jumped into the pillows.  They were having a great time!!
