This weekend Parker decided she wanted to try to ride her bike without training wheels...

She needs a little more practice...She fell down quite a bit but didn't let it bother her at all...I was so proud of her for just brushing it off, and trying again.

Brecken and I just hung out and watched....

The End

Today was the last day of school for both girls.  They had a promotion program at school and it was fun to see both girls on stage singing.  It was the only school program they've been in together...From now on, Brecken will be the only one at Jacobs...and Parker is officially done with pre-school.  Hello Kindergarten!  It's the end of the first chapter of Parker's story.  I'm so excited for her.  She's ready and I can't wait to see how the next chapter's unfold!  Kindergarten....I can't believe it!

It's officially summer!

LOVE

Papa has such a love for my girls.  My girls have such a love for Papa.  This works well for them all!

It's never about what they do together, it's always just about the Time together.

B and Her Many Dresses

Oh My my girls couldn't be more different!  Brecken has developed a LOVE for dress up dresses that starts in the morning before breakfast and extends throughout the day.  She wants to wear them to bed, to eat in, ride bikes in..she wants to take them to nana & papa's, & grandma & grandpa Ricks...she wants them ALL. THE. TIME.  Just this week, we've had a different one on each day, and when she actually has to get dressed for school, she hangs them up in her closet so they are ready for the wearing!  This morning she then had to wear a dress that twirls to school...what have I gotten myself into...I just love her!

On another note, both girls finished up soccer last week.  Brecken and daddy did their last practice on Thursday, and then Parker's last game was on Saturday morning.  Both girls recieved medals.  This is Brecken with hers.  She was SO EXCITED to have gotten one and after going to bed she got up, found the medal, put it on, and went to sleep.  Too Cute.

Most Excited

We're on the downward slope towards summer!  Next Friday is the girls last day of school, and for Parker her last day of Pre-School!  She's so excited for Kindergarten, she can hardly stand it.  She keeps talking and talking about it, so I decided to record it for safe keeping.  Someday when she's much much older, I'll have to bust this out, and remind her about what she was so excited about.

Forts

There are no words to describe this...the pictures say it all!  I was headed to bed, and checked in on the girls.  Parker INSISTED on sleeping in her "fort".   This is the modified version, as we made her take down Brecken's chair that matches.  This can't be comfortable, yet it totally cracks me up!  I just love her!

Happy Mothers Day

Tonight we hosted my parents, Chris' mom and her husband, and my brothers family for dinner to celebrate Mothers Day.  We had a great time watching the kiddos play, and relaxing outdoors with one another.  So thankful for my mom.  She's my best friend, shopping partner, advice giver, taxi driver, and a wonderful person who loves me even when I'm difficult.  So blessed to have her in my life helping me get through life so that I may live a "normal" family life as best as I can given the circumstances that I've been delt.

Day At The Park

We have sweet friends that we've been getting together with on Tuesday mornings.  Starting last fall, we would go to story time at the library, and our girls really had a good time doing that together.  Story time is on a break right now, so we're trying new things to do on these mornings.  We've been to a "play" at the children's theatre, the play area in the mall, our house, adventures out and about and today we decided it would be fun to have lunch at the park, and play.  The girls had a great time!  I'm so thankful for Sarah and her girls!  She has been so intentional about Tuesdays and getting us out of the house, that now it's just part of our routine, and we LOVE it and them.  I love the adult conversations, and our girls love playing together.  It's a win win!  We look forward to many more fun times and memories made and friendships deepening on an adult and child level.

May Day

We're a day late, but today we made May Baskets for our cousins in the neighborhood!  So fun to deliver them...oh, and instead of flowers, we used candy!
