Singing

I love this little one!  She loves to sing, so I thought I would capture a few of her songs!  She's such a happy little girl, and I love that about her~

Thanksgiving 2010

We had a great day yesterday! We woke up later then usual, enjoyed having daddy home with us for the morning, and then headed over to Nana and Papa's for Thanksgiving lunch with my brother and his family. The girls ate great, which is a first for Thanksgiving meals, and played well with Evan! We had more dessert with Chris' family and then came home for a popcorn dinner, and the movie Charlie Brown Thanksgiving!

I gave Brecken her popcorn, and when I came into the room, here's how I found her!  I then put on the movie~

I have much to be thankful for this year!  A loving God who made me and knew me and had wonderful plans for me before I was born!  An amazing husband who loves me for all that I am, and not!  Wonderful girls whom I adore.  Our health.  Awesome parents who would do anything for me. Amazing friends who have been there for my tough times and have supported me through prayer, advice, a lending hand, a shoulder to cry on, offering up transportation and just being fun!

I couldn't get through my life stage right now without each and every one of these individuals!  I am so Thankful, and am Blessed by each of you, which can only be the work of God!

Thanksgiving Feast

Parker in her vest and Indian hat that she made in school

Today was Parker's Thanksgiving Feast at school!  The kids put on a program and sing songs, and then we all share in the feast for lunch!  The classes help make the muffins and bring the items for show and share for the feast!  The school does a great job, and the kids really enjoy the day!

Gingerbread Village

Today Nana and I took the girls to the gingerbread village to look at and make their own gingerbread houses!  I've never done this before so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a lot of fun!  Brecken and I worked together...ok, so maybe I did most of it:)  and Nana and Parker worked together.  After a few tries and a little help, Nana and Parker got one put up, and Parker went to decorating!  She had a great time!  Brecken enjoyed it as well, but not as much as Parker!  Maybe in a few years, they'll both enjoy it even more!

I thought it is was fun!  The girls and I needed to get out of the house anyway to leave Chris to painting in the girls bathroom, so it was perfect!  The bathroom should be done by the end of the week, with the final piece to be finished on the 29th (counter tops)  We've been a bit crazy around here with all the workers last week and can't wait for it to be done and see how it turns out!  I'll post pictures as soon as it's done!

The girls creations!

This is Parker's..the white cups that held the candy became the chimney and flower pot with "flowers" inside

Making Daddy Proud

This morning Chris woke me up and told me to put my hearing aids on.  I did, and heard someone singing.  It was Brecken..upon listening a bit longer I realized what she was singing...

R  O  C  K  C  H  A  L  K ... J  A  Y  H  A  W  K .... K  U

at the top of her lungs...

I smiled and told Chris " You must be proud right now"!

He was!

So today in honor of KU playing tonight, we all wore our Jayhawk T-Shirts!
